From Thursday, October 29 through Saturday, October 31, the Hollywood Bowl, the Ford and the Greek Theatre all have shows on the same nights. Then Saturday, October 31 is the last listed 2026 date for both the Ford and the Greek. When November starts, the only hillside amphitheater still booking shows is the Bowl, and its dates thin out until the last one on November 21.
So the hills get one more stacked weekend, then a quiet stretch. The Ford's calendar doesn't list another date until May 2027.
The summer season ended in September. The Bowl's calendar didn't.
The LA Phil's 2026 Hollywood Bowl summer season ran "from June to September 2026," according to the orchestra's season announcement. Its last summer booking was Jon Batiste on September 27. Shows booked outside that window come from a different promoter. The LA Phil says Live Nation-Hewitt Silva exclusively promotes Bowl concerts outside the summer season.
Late-fall Bowl shows aren't new. The 2024 calendar had David Gilmour playing October 29 through 31 and closed with Empire of the Sun on November 23. In 2025, the last show that actually happened was Junior H on November 8, since the SmartLess date on November 15 was canceled. This year the Bowl's last listed date is November 21, almost two weeks later than in 2025 and close to where 2024 finished.
This fall is different because of how the dates cluster. The Bowl's October bookings fall right on the same nights the Ford and the Greek are using up the last of their own seasons.
Three nights, three venues, every night
My Chemical Romance holds the center of the Bowl's October, with shows on October 21, 23, 24, 30 and 31. The Bowl's own event page says the two Halloween-weekend shows "mark their fourth and fifth performances at the Hollywood Bowl, setting a new record as MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE becomes the first band to perform five shows at the historic venue." Pollstar reported that the October 30 show is billed as "The Devil's Night" with The Used as guests, and Thrice joins on Halloween.
Put the MCR dates next to the other two calendars and you get this for the week the post goes up:
| Night | Hollywood Bowl | The Ford | Greek Theatre |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fri, Oct 23 | My Chemical Romance | Julian Lage | Foster the People |
| Sat, Oct 24 | My Chemical Romance | Music Beyond Borders: Discostan | — |
| Sun, Oct 25 | — | DrumatiX: Rhythm, Redefined! | — |
| Mon, Oct 26 | — | — | Tom Jones |
| Tue, Oct 27 | — | Montell Fish: The Nest Tour | Shaboozey |
| Wed, Oct 28 | — | — | Malcolm Todd |
| Thu, Oct 29 | Aerosmith & Friends | Ava DuVernay's Main Character Energy | Malcolm Todd |
| Fri, Oct 30 | My Chemical Romance | From Dusk Till Dawn, 30th anniversary | Malcolm Todd |
| Sat, Oct 31 | My Chemical Romance | The Rocky Horror Picture Show | "Weird Al" Yankovic: UHF Live-to-Screen |
Friday, October 23 is the first night all three venues have a show. Thursday through Saturday of the following week is the second time, and that one runs three nights in a row.
The Ford ends its season with two film nights. From Dusk Till Dawn screens Friday at 8 p.m. for its 30th anniversary, produced with Street Food Cinema. The Rocky Horror Picture Show with Sins O' The Flesh plays Saturday at 8 p.m., produced with Street Food Cinema and One Institute's Circa: Queer Histories Festival 2026. Across Griffith Park, the Greek also ends on a film. "Weird Al" Yankovic presents UHF live-to-screen with an orchestra and a live Q&A at 8 p.m. on October 31.
That means two venues are closing on the same night with the same kind of show: a cult film, a live element and Halloween timing. Both seasons end with a movie on October 31.
What the stack means on Highland and the side streets
The Bowl has its own access plan, and it's the one most likely to affect the streets below Outpost, Whitley Heights and the Dell. Its getting-here guidance warns visitors not to park in the surrounding neighborhoods because they could get a costly ticket. The same guidance says Milner and Camrose may close about two hours before showtime and stay closed until about an hour after the performance ends. It also tells concertgoers to arrive at least 90 minutes early.
On a show night, that can mean hours of Bowl traffic before the music starts and, when the closures are in effect, another hour after it ends. Between October 29 and November 1 the Bowl has four shows in a row: Aerosmith on Thursday, MCR on Friday and Saturday, and Aerosmith again on Sunday. On three of those nights, the Ford is also letting out on Cahuenga and the Greek is letting out on the far side of the park.
The Bowl's parking page explains why so many cars end up circling.
- On-site parking is described as extremely limited, may sell out in advance, and is stacked, so cars can't leave early.
- Lots open three hours before each event.
- Lot A stacked parking is $55. Lot D is $55 for lease events like this fall's concerts. Each pass adds a $2.50 service fee.
- Lot C is for rideshare only, and Lot B is mostly the shuttle hub.
For anyone heading out to a show instead of trying to get home around one, the Park & Ride and Bowl Shuttle page lists lease-event Park & Ride at $12.45 in advance online or $15 day-of at the lot, cash and exact change only. Online sales close at 10 a.m. the day before. The Bowl Shuttle is $12.45 in advance where prepurchase is offered or $12 day-of, and it runs continuously from four nearby pickup spots until the concert starts. The MCR event page links to its own Park & Ride ticket purchase. Metro riders take the B Line to Hollywood/Highland and transfer to the free shuttle with a valid TAP card or GoMetro Round-Trip Pass, according to the Bowl's Metro instructions.
All three calendars are live pages, and the Bowl's press materials say programs, dates and prices may change, so check before you leave the house.
After October 31, only the Bowl is left
Once the Ford and the Greek go dark, the Bowl's November looks like this:
- Sunday, November 1: Aerosmith & Friends, second night
- Saturday, November 7: Jimmy Eat World and The Format
- Sunday, November 8: Ms. Lauryn Hill & Wyclef Jean, celebrating 30 years of the Fugees' The Score
- Wednesday and Thursday, November 18 and 19: Jonas Brothers
- Saturday, November 21: Steve Lacy
That's six show nights spread over three weeks, compared with the eleven nights between October 20 and 31 when at least one of the three venues has a show. The only quiet night in that stretch is October 22. In November, show traffic comes back mostly on weekends, with one weeknight pair for the Jonas Brothers. After Steve Lacy on November 21, the next date the Bowl's homepage lists is Def Leppard and Goo Goo Dolls on May 1, 2027.
The street closures don't completely stop after that. The Hollywood Christmas Parade runs Sunday, November 29, and its 2026 road-closure notice lists posted no-parking restrictions starting days ahead, plus a parade-day closure of Hollywood Boulevard, nearby streets and the Cahuenga ramps on the 101. For residents near the Cahuenga Pass, the parade comes eight days after the Bowl's last show.
The weeks the hills get back
The LA Phil fills the Bowl's summer through late September. In October, bookings at all three venues land on the same nights. Halloween night closes two of the three venues together. The Bowl keeps going into the week before Thanksgiving, and after November 21 none of the three calendars lists another 2026 show. The Ford's next listed season starts in May 2027, and so does the Bowl's next listed show.
If you want a closing-night show, the choices are MCR at the Bowl, Rocky Horror at the Ford or "Weird Al" at the Greek, all on Saturday, October 31. If you'd rather be home that night, it's also the last time this year all three venues let out at once.
